Programs & Activities
Friends of the Forum provides educational programming, resources and forums to further the goals of Polish/Jewish dialogue. Below is a list of some past, current and future activities of Friends of the Forum.
MID-YEAR 2008 PROGRESS REPORT AND UPDATE

Planned for 2008: Jewish Student Trips to Poland
In 2008, Friends of the Forum plans to help bring several groups of Jewish students to Poland to encounter both Jewish and Polish history alongside Polish students. The trips, designed for college students and high-school seniors, will bring Polish and Jewish students together to share their personal and national narratives, encounter historical sites and events, and build both connections and tolerance. October, 2007: Article Published
“Encountering the Contradictions—and Possibilities—in Poland” is published by Chicago Jewish News. Written by Friends of the Forum Chairman Michael Rosenbaum, the article relates insights from the author’s first trip to Poland in 2006.
August 2007: Polish/Jewish dialogue tour
Friends of the Forum hosted a three-city tour with Andrzej Folwarczny, founder and president of The Forum for Dialogue Among Nations, based in Warsaw, to provide updated information on developments in Polish/Jewish dialogue.
May 2007: Difficult Questions book tour.
Friends of the Forum hosted a seven-city tour of the United States with Andrzej Folwarczny, founder and president of The Forum for Dialogue Among Nations, based in Warsaw, highlighting the recently published book, Difficult Questions in Polish/Jewish Dialogue. The book, a joint project of the Forum and the American Jewish Committee, addresses the 50 questions asked most frequently by Jewish students about Poles and by Polish students about Jews. The book has been published in English, Polish and Hebrew. Copies of the English version are available for purchase below or on the American Jewish Committee website.
